How To Connect a Bluetooth Mouse To a Chromebook

I've always wanted to use a mouse on my Windows laptop and also my iMac. I like how easy it is to use a standalone mouse when working; especially with high precision apps like image editors and video editors.  

Even simple tasks like to copy and paste on a chromebook become much easier with a physical mouse.  The best physical mouse is a wireless mouse; preferably a Bluetooth mouse.  

Fortunately, most Chromebooks are bluetooth compatible and will accept bluetooth mice. You just need to know how to pair them and that's exactly what I'm teaching ere.

The first thng you need to do is make sure the Bluetooth mouse is turned on. On your Chromebook, select the lower right corner of the taskbar. In the window that pops up, select the 

If the Bluetooth status is currently off, enable the toggle switch to enable Bluetooth. Once enabled, you'll see a scanning status as your Chromebook looks for active, nearby Bluetooth devices. When your wireless mouse appears, you can select it to pair and connect to it.
